This is the project webpage of the revision of the EU Ecolabel criteria for Indoor cleaning services (Commission Decision (EU) 2018/680 of 2 May 2018). The revision has started in Spring 2025 by the Directorate General Joint Research Centre (DG JRC) for the European Commission's Directorate General for the Environment (DG ENV).
The EU Ecolabel for Indoor Cleaning Services promotes the production and consumption of products/services with a reduced environmental impact along the life cycle. The label is awarded only to the best environmentally performing products in the market.
The EU Ecolabel criteria are developed within the framework of EU Ecolabel Regulation 66/2010. The criteria are revised taking into consideration legislation, market development, technical standards and environmental aspects from a life cycle perspective, health and safety and social aspects.
