This is the project website of the revision of the EU Green Public Procurement (EU GPP) criteria for Computers and Monitors. The study is being carried out by the Joint Research Centre's Directorate B, Growth and Innovation (JRC). . The work is being developed for the European Commission's Directorate General for the Environment.

The GPP criteria will be revised under a life-cycle approach and will be based on the existing EU GPP criteria - SWD(2016) 346 final "EU GPP Criteria for Computers and Monitors". In making the revision mainly environmental (but also technical and functional) aspects have been considered.

During the criteria revision, continuous wide consultation has taken place with experts and stakeholders, including manufacturers, their supply chain, trade associations, independent experts, consumer organisations and NGOs. The criteria will be proposed at two levels of ambition: core criteria and comprehensive criteria. Core criteria are those suitable for any contracting authority across the Member States and address the key environmental impacts. Comprehensive criteria are developed for those who wish to purchase the best environmental products available on the market.

Stakeholder involvement is a crucial aspect of the study. Registered stakeholders are regularly informed about the progress of the study, have access to preliminary results and draft documents and can respond to questionnaires and/or participate in stakeholder meetings.
