Green Public Procurement for Office Buildings

What's new

Consultation on revised proposals for the criteria and procurement guidance, 22nd December 2014 to 27th February 2015

The development of Green Public Procurement (GPP) criteria for "Office Buildings" has entered its final phase, with publication on the 22nd December 2014 of revised draft proposals for the criteria, the supporting technical background document and draft new procurement guidance. The consultation period for commenting on these three draft documents will close on Friday 27th February 2015.

The revised proposals build upon the initial studies and proposals published during 2011/2012. They incorporate new technical evidence and are accompanied by a new draft guidance on office building procurement best practice.

Importantly, the revised proposals also seek to, based on current information, as much as possible reflect the priorities set out in the Commission's recent Communications ‘Towards a Circular Economy’ and ‘Resource Efficiency Opportunities in the Building Sector’ which outline future policy initiatives to address the resource efficiency of the sector.
